About this guide
Last reviewed · verify live park facts with Explore Parks WA / DBCA
purnululunationalpark.com.au is an independent, unofficial visitor guide. We help people plan respectful, self-sufficient trips to Purnululu National Park (Bungle Bungle Range) in Western Australia’s East Kimberley — with a practical focus on Spring Creek Track access, north vs south walk choices, heat and sensible two-night planning.
We are not the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA), Parks and Wildlife Service WA, the Western Australian Government, the Purnululu Park Council, Gija and Jaru Traditional Owners, Tourism WA, or any commercial flight/lodge operator unless explicitly stated.
We acknowledge the Gija and Jaru people as Traditional Owners of Purnululu Country and their continuing connection to land, waters and culture. This guide does not retell restricted sacred stories. Use public interpretive material, authorised cultural products and official park information only. This site does not speak for Traditional Owner groups.
Always verify entry fees, road status, camping bookings, track conditions and safety on the official Explore Parks WA Purnululu page and related DBCA channels before you travel.

Help people plan a Purnululu trip without getting stuck: 4WD access, a sensible two-night stay, heat, and choosing north or south walks. Free guides are funded by clearly disclosed ads and affiliates. We never take a cut of park entry fees or Park Stay WA camping.
How we work (accuracy policy)
We pull publicly available facts from Explore Parks WA / DBCA and Park Stay WA, check them against how people actually get in (Spring Creek Track, fuel, the long north–south drive inside the park), then write planning notes you can use. We do not invent live track status or freeze fees as permanent truth — amounts and openings change, so we send you to the official pages.
- Entry fees, track status, camping availability and road openings must be verified on official Explore Parks WA / DBCA pages and Park Stay WA before you travel. We never invent live closures.
- Park entry fees and Park Stay WA bookings are never affiliated. Commercial stays, tours and gear links may be.
- Site-wide content review date: . Individual pages may note the same stamp.
- Site expectations and official park links: Contact (no public email).

National Parks Guide Australia network
This is one deep park guide (Purnululu) in the National Parks Guide Australia network of independent Australian national park visitor guides. The visitor-facing hub is National Parks Guide Australia — browse the full directory, multi-park “best for” collections and how the network works. The publisher behind the network remains Farming Domains (see above); the hub is how travellers find other parks.

Purnululu belongs on hub collections for World Heritage sandstone country and remote 4WD access — Spring Creek Track is not a sealed capital day-out, and the Bungle Bungle Range is UNESCO-listed (2003).
